I paint magic; A visual world unto itself.
I pay close to attention to the rules of color while I break the rules of picture plane creation. Within these worlds Background becomes foreground; visual conundrums abound, ancestral and primordial objects appear to float within indeterminate space.
The result is that your retinas blaze around the canvas never sitting still for too long. The faux pointillist technique enhances the cathode ray cartoon surface. The bold use of both contrast and color adds to the overall visual excitement. The Paintings are both otherworldly and strangely familiar at the same time. Too carefully constructed to be from a dream and too visually complex to have been drawn from nature leaves one to wonder exactly what the inspiration was.
All of the work is for you, the viewer, to both delight in and contemplate. I hope to inspire your dreams with a new sense of wonder.
